The cities of Norco and Riverside lie to the north and northeast, Chino Hills and Yorba Linda to the northwest, and the Cleveland National Forest and the Santa Ana Mountains to the southwest, and unincorporated Riverside County along the rest of the border, respectively.
Corona is located in western Riverside County, east of Orange County. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 38.9 square miles (101 km²), of which, 38.8 square miles (100 km²) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.26 km²) of it (0.27%) is water.
